pissed off at my brother. Just got to know from his blog that he actually lost his bag (not sure about the stuff inside) and he got a new billabong bag at $90!! Like my most expensive bag was only $70 and that was bought when I was working! My brother isnt even working and he spends like nobody's business. My dad gave him an atm card recently, and I thought it wasnt a very right move though. He actually has been receiving $50/week since sec 2 (I think). He is in poly now and I don't think he actually does need so much money.

Okay, but writing this, I must also confess that I'm also guilty of this. I guess the main difference is, he doesnt know how to limit himself to the max price he can spend on a single item. Like for me, I will never buy a $90 bag (for now, since I'm still a student) and the max I will spend on clothes is around $50 (for top) and $60 (for bottoms).

Anyways, I bought a pair of adidas sneakers today for $69.90! Actually, I didnt want to get it, but the person thought I was getting it, plus it was the last day of sale, so I just went to get it (since I am working now, I just need to spend lesser for the next few weeks)

And I've been noting down how much I spend each day (after effect of hiroshima internship. I dont know why, but I feel weird not writing down how much I spend and wanting to collect the receipts) So at least I have an idea on how much I am spending and know when to restrict myself :)

I'm so lazy to now to write aout stuff. I think I have stuff to write about, but I cant really remember them now!

-Going for a freshman orientation camp tonight, so wont be around for the weekend.
-Starting work next monday. Thanks to my sister's recommendation of her job which she ended on Tuesday.
-BOSS is really nice to watch! I dont kow, but I just like the characters and how cool Amami Yuki is. Plus this is the only drama where I can watch the whole opening part without forwrding! Alright by Superfly is cool!



-Other than BOSS, I think Shiroi Haru is a nice watch, although my friends whom I went to Japan with found it a little slow I think. Personally, I liked it a lot (minus the ending) though. Coz Abe Hiroshi and Ohashi Nozomi were quite good in it. I finished The Quiz Show as well, and it was not bad! I gave up on Smile, coz it was just too depressing and kinda boring.

-I wanna go for Natsumatsuri because I've got my yukata!! But it's on a Saturday :( Anyways, I saw a similar looking yukata in Takashimaya selling for $189 when I bought it for 4200yen ($64!) in Japan (okay, the yukata was on sale, I think it's normal price is the about the same as sg)

I guess that kinda sums up my random updates.

Back from Japan and is tired from all the packing! There's a piece of good news and also bad news. Usually I will tend to want to know the bad news first, but this time i need to share the good news before the bad one (okay,its not really bad bad though)

Okay, good news is, I just received my letter of confirmation from Kyushu University, so it's confrmed that I will be going to Japan for exchange this october!

And the bad news is, I will probably be reaching Fukuoka on the 28/29 September, just 10 days after arashi's concert in Fukuoka!!!So I wont be able to see them in Fukuoka!

So nw I can only hope that I can go for either hokkaido, tokyo or nagoya concerts, but getting of tickets will be difficult :(

I'm slacking in the office now! Last day of internship and because of the nature of my company, I dunno who will be in the office when I leave.. Dunno whether to take photos with them as well.. kinda lazy, but dunno leh, never take photo a bit sad also..

If any of the hiroshima internship people is reading this, thanks for celebrating my bdae in advance :) appreciate it a lot.. may be I will write more about it in wordpress...

So now I've got until 5pm to slack.. supposed to go out with someone, but he hasnt come back yet.. hehe Another person brought me out coz she thought I looked kinda bored..haha, and in the end we went to some hotel near the sea and had free high tea coz she knows someone over there!

Back at lj! I’ve been posting over at wordpress about Japan, but coming back here for a post to fangirl! LOL. For the first time in 3 weeks, I finally watched Arashi no Shukudai kun in Japan! Watched Sho’s news zero as well :) Anyways, yesterday’s AnS was funny and sho is so cute :) Interestingly, I haven’t been watching a lot of variety shows in Japan, probably because at night I’m mostly in my room or talking to the others. But, I wake up at like 6.10am (5.10am in Singapore!!) every morning so that I can watch the morning entertainment news. But I think for the next few days I can afford to wake up at 6.20am.

I’m also so used to putting on make up that I just spend about 25 min to do make up (I think I used to take 35~45min in the past because eyeliner itself took about 15~20min).

I guess I will miss this place. After all, it’s my second time here and my homestays were all in Hiroshima and after 3 weeks here, you are familiar with all the stuff around. I even can recognize faces on the streetcar I take to work every morning! (There’s this cute girl who stops at the same stop as me, this freaking skinny and tall guy who will stop at Genbaku dome mae station, this ang moh who will be in the transfer streetcar and stops at the same stop as me, but I haven’t been seeing him lately. LOL)

Btw, it’s getting hotter in Japan already. In the afternoon, it’s just like Singapore, plus the occasional cool winds.

Hey hey, I'm alive here in Japan! Weather is good, the friends are great!

I'm only starting work on the 2nd June, so I'm kinda slacking till then..

and results are out! Wasnt really nervous at all..and results are not too bad :) and pulled my CAP back to at least a 4 :) Thank god!

Hmm.. I guess I'll update more over at wordpress coz internet is limited for now..

btw, there's an arashi fan among one of the people I'm with now :)

I better write some stuff before I leave tonight!

Will only be back on the 24th June! One day after my birthday because I dont want to spend like 1/4 of my birthday on a plane! Haha..

I guess I kinda have mixed feelings now. On one hand, I'm really excited to be going to Japan, but on the other hand, I kinda scared as well. I'm scared that the people there dont understand my Japanese, I'm scared that I wont adapt well etc etc.. But, I know that I need to depend on God and his strength! I guess I really need to go with an open mind!!

Oh yes, Singapore has had her first case of H1N1 patient! I cant be the first to get H1N1 in Singapore (haha,just joking).. but is a matter of time that Singapore will be affected.

On other stuff, I got my LX3, and it's good! I like the wide angle lenses!

I don't know what I've done to receive so much blessings, both big and small and yes, thank God!

- the monday I returned from camp and LAJ chalet, there was this stack of 50 dollar notes amounting to $2000 from my grandma for my trip to Japan/SEP (My dad said she probably wanted to return him the money, so used the Japan trip as an excuse??)

- my dad adding in another $650 for my trip!

- air tickets are cheap! $642 to Japan by SIA plus there is no minimum number of people needed!

- me buying surgical masks from my dentist at $5 for 50 masks! very cheap!

- I was prepared not to bring my laptop since I kinda expected my dad to say no, but yesterday, he told me about some offer for the small laptops (the 10-inch ones) and despite me telling him that I dont need (rather use the money to get a LX3) he still went to get one (I kinda half-expected it). It's a baby pink one, singapore brand and so, I will be bringing a laptop over!

Sometimes I really dont like how easy it for me to get the things I want. Like I dont work hard for it and yet I get it. It's like this internship,I ask my dad can I go, he complains a bit and says 'go la go la' and I apply and get chosen. But for another friend who is going for this, she spent a great deal convincing her dad to let her go and making this her grad trip despite doing honours next year because she cant afford the whole thing and needs her dad to chip in and her dad will only chip in for her grad trip.

May be it's my dad's way of making us feel indebted to him and making us wanting to support him in the future.lol. haha, but I really thank God for him.

Sometimes I'm amazed at how organised my dad is. He and my mum worked so hard in the past just to let us, their children have a comfortable life. It's really amazing how 2 people scrimped and saved for God knows how many years to the extent that it's no problem bringing me, my sis and my brother through our tertiary education.

- the only last thing I want is to have a safe trip there and back!

- leaving in 3 (technically 4) days' time and not very prepared in many sense.

Haha, so now for more updates on my 21st birthday party weekend! I slept at like 6.30am this morning annd woke up at 8.30am and have not yet sleep since then. I'll probably sleep soon after my hair dries.

So Sunday was Joel's birthday. It was quite a nice birthday party. More of the family feel. I think Joel's parents are really really nice! Think they kinda like planned his birthday party. From doing the powerpoint slides, to food, the cake etc. The funniest thing was really Joel's mother telling the story of young Joel and Noah's ark. I think that story will be used and reused time after another by lee hanyun from now on!

Then yesterday was Liyi's party. The chalet was quite a nice one, although kinda ulu.. I think we really had a great time sharing our lives. People there were me, liyi, hanyun, kim, joel, yinglin and edwin. It was really nice to share our struggles with each other, being able to identify with one another and really, to know that you are not alone in this tough race. To those people who might be reading this, jiayou and depend on God's strength. It's like, it's only God who can solve all these stuff we are facing, so look to God!!

Uni-YA camp coming in another 2 days, and I'm not at all prepared. I really dont want this to be the case because I dont want to spend 4 days and not gaining anything. I really want to learn things and to hear from God!

Anyways, I feel so blessed by my senior who is on the exchange programme that I will be going this year. She is so nice! She's like helping me, someone whom she hasnt even met before, someone who just found her on facebook and sending her messages regarding the programme. I better get confirmation that I'm going for this, or else I will feel that I've wasted her efforts.

Btw, I'm kinda glad that I'll be away for about 1/4 of the year coz that means lesser 21st! but I'll be missing hanyun and kim's 21st though :(

I was watching a Japanese movie called Ichi, and what I liked most about it was sadly, the theme song. It is sung by SunMin, called 'Will'. It's quite a sad song though.



I guess the movie was quite okay I think. Ayase Haruka is pretty as usual, and Nakamura Shidou acted quite well in it.

On other stuff, this weekend is the weekend of 21st birthday parties! Yesterday was my secondary school friend, Zoe, today and tomorrow are my church friends, Joel and Liyi respectively. This meaning that I'm quite broke, plus I had to pay for camp fee as well. But I thank god that my dad gave me like $50 for the camp, plus my allowance for the week. Haha, but they are all gone now..

And yesterday,after my friend's birthday party, I did something kinda crazy (at least for me). My friends asked me to go drinking. Haha, but it isnt those pub/clubs la. It was at my friend's condo poolside. Seems like the ocassion was kinda like a farewell for a Japanese exchange student who studied in NUS. Haha, I kinda gave in, and went to find them at like 11pm! Anyways, he is from Keio and he looks not bad, just that he is too skinny! He is quite friendly, though I didnt really talked to him. And he told us that he saw Mizushima Hiro in school once!!!!! The girls were like 'omg, you mean you saw him!!!' and we were all quite excited. haha. And guess what, I only reached home at like 3.30am. My dad was a little angry though. Anyways, we didnt really drank much also. I drank a cup of umeshu and a cup of kahlua+milk..

Btw, he is leaving Singapore today! I was kinda surprised that he came out all the way to bishan from NUS to drink with us one day before he is going to leave.

I'm freaking happy now because there will be the hiroshima internship this year!!! Despite the economic downturn and rumours of not having it, plus the H1N1 flu,there will be the internship!! So, that will mean that I will be going to Japan in about 2 weeks time if I get chosen for it!!

I'm so excited that I want to hand up my application form now, but nahh, I think I will hand it up on Friday to not look so desperate. Although I can see that my dad is a little errr, I mean, when he heard that he asked me 'Didnt you want to work?', I mean like yes, I wanted to work because I previously had given up hope that there will be the internship this year, but since they have it, I might as well go for it, since it will probably be the last chance I will ever have.

I've been reading my brother's blog recently (without him knowing) and I conclude that his personality online and in real life is totally different. Like, omg, my brother's like that?! Haha, and I wonder if my personality is also different online and in real life. Any opinions from friends in real life??

Anyways, I've recently saw this video and was totally screaming 'omg' at the end!! I love you sho! You are just sooo nice!


haha.. but sho is seriously climbing up and wanting to take over ohno as my ichiban! And The Quiz Show is not too bad, like you want to find out what happen, plus yokoyama yu is handsome in it! No more goofy and funny character, but serious and cool!

Stupid mediacorp bringing in the korea version of hana yori dango in May! What's with the lightning speed in bringing in the Korean dramas and the can-wait-till-forever-to-watch-one-jdrama on singapore channels (and using all those japanese drama ost for their advertisements) :( Okay, may be there is more work and it's more expensive regarding the bringing in of japanese dramas, but, its just so unfair :(((

Just watched the star awards as well! And I was kinda surprised that Jeanette Aw didnt win the best actress award. Not that I wanted her to win, but I thought the immense popularity of Little Nyonya will get her the award. But no, it went to Joanne Peh instead, who acted in the same drama though..

And when I saw Zhen ge Ping, his suit reminded me of Sakamoto in an episode of Gakkou e Ikou!


Dont have a pic of Zheng ge ping now, but I might add it when I find it later.. Haha, definitely Sakamoto is more handsome, but Zheng ge ping has quite a nice body for a guy at his age too!

I've just watched arashi's perf at utaban! Crazy Moon is really a song that requires them to dance a lot!

Oh yes, and I think the drama this season for me is Shiroi Haru! Of all the dramas I've watched so far (including Smile, The Quiz Show, Ghost Friends, Atashinchi no danshi, Meitantei no okite), this interests me the most! Ohashi Nozomi chan is soooo cute!!! Ratings arent exactly great, but I'm curious to find out how Abe Hiroshi and Nozomi chan will turn out to be!

Prob try watching Boss, Majo no saiban (doesnt look very interesting though), Konkatsu, Kimutaku's Mr Brain (which wont come out so soon) for this season.. Seems like there are lots to follow!

I watched School days with a Pig yesterday at AMK Hub!! Quite a nice movie :) Tsumabuki Satoshi is so cute, and the child actors were all really good! Sad thing was that there were only around 7 people in that big theatre :( May be because it is almost the end of the screening, or may be because there wasnt much publicity.. Btw, there are quite a few Japanese movies coming soon.. yay for the increase in popularity of Japanese movies in Singapore!

I've just watched Hana yori matsujun, the himitsu no arashi SP of matsujun's date with ooshima miyuki again and it was hilarious!! So fun to watch old videos!!

And it's less than 2 weeks to the end of exams!! It's been really fast, and I know I've been complaining about this sem quite a lot, and its almost ending! yay!

The weather is getting unbearable! Seriously very hot :( means really bad for my skin :(

Finally watched AAA 2008 today and it was really great! It's like I'm only in front of my computer and I think the concert was great. God knows how much better if I was at the stadium! I'm really glad that I really really like arashi and not any other group. Anyways, it's like April and there's no news about any concert this year?! Hopefully they will have one when I'm over there (kinda scared,since I'll only be there in late september).

Allowed myself to watch whatever stuff I wanted this weekend, coz for the next 2 weeks I'll be studying hard for exams! Though I doubt I'll have that much discipline to stay away from my computer. Hehe, but the stuff to study aint a lot! 2 exams only! Think my uni life compared to others is really relaxed.. prob due to the modules I take too...

Other than AAA, I watched the first episode of Smile and the Matsuda Shota's drama today! Both seems not bad, though the matsuda shota's one seem a little lame. I've watched Matsujun's hanamaru cafe as well! Was quite surprised at how he doesnt really know how to style his hair, since he is so metrosexual and vain I guess. haha. but his hat collection is wow.. haha...

Went to the optician today since my sis wanted to make specs/contact lens. Was quite surprised that the optician told me that my degree for my right eye decreased by 25 and left eye remained coz I've been lying on my bed and reading and staring at my laptop for x no. of hours per day! So I didnt had to make new glasses! Just ordered contact lens..

Oh yeah, I havent wrote about my trip to uniqlo! I went there on Friday, and the crowd was still there, but I only spent around 10 mins before I entered. Clothes are not too bad, but seriously, looking at the crowd there, I rather not buy any t-shirts from there. So in the end, I got a white jacket, which wasnt on discount. haha. yeah, I had to get something from there since I spent more than 1 hour travelling there from school.
